This 3-bedroom, 110m² apartment is located on calle Dr. Castelo, just a few steps away from the Retiro Park. Could you imagine anything better? Surrounded by myriad cultural, culinary and leisure venues, and with excellent transport links to all parts of the city by underground or bus, this is the perfect pied-à-terre for a tourist break or a business trip to Madrid.

There is plenty of space for comfortably accommodating up to five guests in its three bedrooms, with spacious communal areas for resting, relaxing with the family, or enjoying a quiet soirée with friends.

The bright living-cum-dining room incorporates an open plan kitchen with a breakfast bar. The interior décor is classic yet eclectic, a warm mixture of style with the best of contemporary design, touches of the Mediterranean, and a mixture of old and more modern pieces of furniture.

The apartment is designed to provide utmost privacy to guests. The entrance hall leads to all the rooms via a corridor, at the end of which is the living area, divided into a sitting area with a comfortable sofa, two chesterfield armchairs in antique leather, a large sideboard and smart flat-screen TV; and a dining area with a table for six. At the end of this L-shaped area is a spacious kitchen, equipped to the detail. Natural light bathes the entire living area throughout the day.

The three bedrooms open off the corridor. The master bedroom is equipped with a double bed, chest of drawers, TV, bench, a large built-in wardrobe and full en-suite bathroom with large shower.

The second bedroom is equipped with two 90 x 200 cm single beds, TV and plenty of storage space for clothes and luggage; the third bedroom has a single bed, and a large writing desk.

The apartment has a second, spacious full bathroom with shower, is fitted with total climate control, and has all the facilities and services you would expect to find on your dream holidays. Retiro I is located in the district of the same name, right in the centre of Madrid. Here, the exclusive Barrio de Salamanca is one of the most sought-after areas of the city, bourgeois in nature, with elegant streets and myriad cultural, leisure and culinary opportunities. A walk in Madrid’s Retiro Park is a must, taking in the lake, the Palacio de Cristal – an impressive glass and metal structure housing temporary exhibitions –, the Velazquez Palace, and the Fountain of the Falling Angel. Nearby is the Puerta de Alcalá, the original gate into the city. And all around you stylish shops and culinary delights to be sampled in the many and varied restaurants, bars and cafés that dot every street.

• Arrival and departure. Check-in is between 15:00 and 21:00; check-out by 11:00. Should you require to arrive or leave earlier or later, you must request this at the time of the booking. We will endeavour to accommodate your request; however, this will depend on availability, and an additional fee may be incurred.
• Cancellations. Cancelling more than 14 days prior to your arrival date will entitle you to a full refund. Cancelling between 7 and 14 days prior to arrival will entitle you to a refund of 50% and cancelling between 2 and 7 days will entitle you to a refund of 25%. Cancellations made less than 2 days in advance of the planned arrival date will mean that no refund can be given, and the full rental amount will be withheld.
  
• Additional information. The minimum stay we have in Madrid is 5 nights, and 7 nights over the Christmas period. The property is fully equipped, including high quality bedlinen and towels.
