General Pardiñas

Situated in the highly sought-after neighbourhood of Barrio de Salamanca, this property boasts one of the most exclusive addresses in Madrid, close to the Italian, Belgian and French embassies and just a short walk away from calle Serrano, the most luxurious shopping district in the city. The area has a wealth of luxury boutiques, cafés and some of the best restaurants in the Spanish capital. With the “Golden Mile” just around the corner, you can stroll down to the likes of Hermès, Armani, Gucci or Cartier in a matter of minutes. The metro stations of Lista, Nuñez de Balboa and Diego de Leon are very close by, as are buses that will take you to the Prado Museum or the Thyssen Bornemisza. A quiet neighbourhood with excellent public transport connections.

The property is accessed through communal gardens and has a full time caretaker who lives in the building. The gardens are closed at night, the access gate then works with a code. The building has two lifts.

This is a large apartment, with 140m2 of living space. The entrance hall has a small coat cupboard, in which for your convenience there is also a small shopping trolley and umbrellas. To the left is a fully equipped office furnished with a stylish glass table, chair, shelving, scanner and printer. There is also a HiFi system with a large selection of music CDs, and a small library.

The corridor leads to one of the main bedrooms furnished with a large double bed (1.80m x 2.00m) which can be made up as two single beds (placed together) upon request. The bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, and a separate private toilet. There is a large built-in cupboard, and a “Philips Ambilight” flat screen TV on the wall.

Further along the hall to the right there is a small room with a folding easy-chair/bed which can be used as an additional bedroom upon request. If not requested this room remains closed.

The modern kitchen is equipped with Bosch appliances and opens onto the dining area in the living room via a serving hatch. The living room is next to the kitchen, and is divided into a sitting area and dining area. The sitting area is equipped with a three seater Italian sofa, a Danish sixties wooden coffee table, two chairs and a Flat screen TV with cable TV, a DVD player and a Marantz HiFi system on a low piece of furniture. The dining area has an extensible table comfortably seating 6 to 8 situated next to the serving hatch to the kitchen. There is a Danish sixties-style sideboard with all the necessary dishware, cutlery, etc. for laying the table for a special meal at home, prepared either  by yourself or by Home at Homes’ “chef at home”. Accessed from the living room is a second bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Further down the corridor is the third bedroom, equipped with a single bed, a built-in cupboard and a writing desk.  At the end of the corridor is the fourth bedroom, also a master bedroom with a large double bed (1.60m x 2.00m), a small dresser and a large chest of drawers. Both these rooms share a full bathroom with a bathtub.

• Arrival and departure. Check-in is between 15:00 and 21:00; check-out by 11:00. Should you require to arrive or leave earlier or later, you must request this at the time of the booking. We will endeavour to accommodate your request; however, this will depend on availability, and an additional fee may be incurred.
• Cancellations. Cancelling more than 14 days prior to your arrival date will entitle you to a full refund. Cancelling between 7 and 14 days prior to arrival will entitle you to a refund of 50% and cancelling between 2 and 7 days will entitle you to a refund of 25%. Cancellations made less than 2 days in advance of the planned arrival date will mean that no refund can be given, and the full rental amount will be withheld.
  
• Additional information. The minimum stay we have in Madrid is 5 nights, and 7 nights over the Christmas period. The property is fully equipped, including high quality bedlinen and towels.
