Hortaleza I

Located very close to Madrid’s Gran Via, calle Hortaleza delights visitors with its myriad and diverse shopping, cultural and culinary opportunities, changing at every step. Hortaleza holds the memories of the many faces of this vibrant city, and provides a stimulating walk amongst literary cafés, architectural delights and an eclectic atmosphere. And right in the midst of all this is one of Home at Homes’ most interesting properties.

This sophisticated two-bedroom apartment accommodating four persons offers all the conveniences you would wish in your home away from home: space, comfort, details and an unexpected and unforgettable interior. A home evocative of different periods and styles, a mix of minimalism, neoclassicism and cutting-edge modernity. The structural elements of the building (high ceilings, a serene geometry and an intelligent use of space) combine with extravagant details which will seduce the most discerning of visitors.

It has a large living room with three balconies overlooking calle Hortaleza, through which natural light streams in for many hours of the day. The main wall provides the classical décor with wooden smoke-coloured panelling and a chimney as a trompe l’oeil, around which a warm and eclectic reading area is provided, with a hemp carpet, three comfortable easy chairs, two auxiliary tables and a vintage lamp to complete the look. Following on from this is the TV area, with a comfortable sofa and a coffee table, perfect for a cosy film session with the family.

Separated by a partition wall is a dining area for four. This is open to the living area, as is the kitchen, which is modern and minimalist in style, perfect for organising a quiet meal at home. As in all of Home at Homes’ properties, the kitchen is fully equipped with high quality white goods and electrical appliances, and all the necessary kitchenware.

A guest toilet serves the living area.

The sleeping area is accessed via a corridor, and has two spacious double bedrooms, both equipped with a full en-suite bathroom providing utmost privacy, perfect for two couples travelling together.

The master bedroom has a double bed, bedside tables and a French-style bench, a large built-in wardrobe, TV and full en-suite bathroom with rainfall shower.

The second bedroom has twin beds, a bedside table and chest of drawers, as well as a dressing room next to the bathroom.

Hortaleza is in the central district of Justicia, next to the Gran Vía, Chueca and Salesas, and parallel to the well-known Fuencarral street. A colourful and vibrant shopping area, it is just a short walk away from the city’s main sites of tourist and cultural interest.

Information

• Arrival and departure. Check-in is between 15:00 and 21:00; check-out by 11:00. Should you require to arrive or leave earlier or later, you must request this at the time of the booking. We will endeavour to accommodate your request; however, this will depend on availability, and an additional fee may be incurred.
• Cancellations. Cancelling more than 14 days prior to your arrival date will entitle you to a full refund. Cancelling between 7 and 14 days prior to arrival will entitle you to a refund of 50% and cancelling between 2 and 7 days will entitle you to a refund of 25%. Cancellations made less than 2 days in advance of the planned arrival date will mean that no refund can be given, and the full rental amount will be withheld.
  
• Additional information. The minimum stay we have in Madrid is 5 nights, and 7 nights over the Christmas period. The property is fully equipped, including high quality bedlinen and towels.
